Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in a mixed ethnic family. She has a mother who is English and her father is Nigerian. She was raised in the southern part of London Council Estate. She was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, such as King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She's appeared as guest for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired on The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe, who played a regular role in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premier episode of the season's new episode. She was Tituba in the TV show Salem in 2014 until 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her family included the parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. All of her brothers were athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter as well as in the summer. Her childhood was spent in the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. At the age of two, she started Baby Ballet and fell in with. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre as well as pointe until the time she completed from high school. She was crowned the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
