Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd took advantage of this win and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. Ladd went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen, and beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were affected. Ladd rebounded from her loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by the first round TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: She won the following match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight of catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took the win at the start of round one, and was awarded the Performance of the Night Bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Ladd, who won by a unanimous decision following some great exchanges between the two fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds and ended her streak to win. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a match that was a replacement for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
