Berenice was born as a child of French Chinese and Cambodian parents in Paris France May 19, 1979. Her dad is Chinese, and her mother French. She comes from an upper middle-class family with both a Chinese-Cambodian background. Her father was a physician and her mother was a teacher. Growing up in Paris she fell in love with the arts, and spent the majority of her time playing the piano and painting photographs.
