When her parents both died in their 50's--her mother due to arthritis complications and her father from an attack on his heart--she realized she needed to take charge of her own health so they could ensure that the same fate not come her way. It was not about dieting it was about health, and discovering a lifestyle which maximized how our bodies were designed to function. She is also a regular in Christopher Guest's comedy film. Coolidge has graduated from The Groundlings of Los Angeles. This improv group and sketch troupe is famous for its sketches and improvisations.
